Uber expands ChatGPT Work access to more than 30,000 employees
Uber is expanding ChatGPT Work from a 1,000-person pilot to its global workforce, with training and approved app connections supporting the rollout.
Uber began making ChatGPT Work available companywide on October 22, covering more than 30,000 employees. OpenAI said the expansion follows a pilot involving 1,000 workers.
The agent operates within ChatGPT Enterprise and handles tasks that require multiple steps. Employees can use it for research, data analysis, meeting preparation and presentations, connecting with services including Slack and Google's email, calendar and file tools.
OpenAI said GPT-6.1 Sol will serve as the default model, with voice and image capabilities also available. The deployment extends the companies' existing collaboration and is Uber's first companywide introduction of an agent platform for knowledge work.
Uber will support adoption through employee training, approved integrations and an internal library of AI skills. Its engineers will continue using Codex, while both companies plan to publish adoption findings and measured results as deployment advances.
