Nvidia plans $2 billion in European investments as it backs French startups
Jensen Huang said Nvidia plans to announce $2 billion in European investments within a week, alongside planned backing for four French startups.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company plans to announce $2 billion in European investments within a week. He discussed the plans in Paris on October 13 during a European visit that also includes London and Berlin.
Nvidia separately confirmed planned investments in Doctolib, Entalpic, Genesis AI and Pigment. Their businesses span health care, materials research, robotics and corporate planning. The company said its commitments to Europe's technology sector total nearly $10 billion.
Doctolib said Nvidia's proposed minority investment would support its AI development. Its consultation assistant has documented over 12 million patient visits, and the company is developing tools for administrative work and clinical decisions.
The startup investments remain described as planned transactions in Nvidia's announcement, which does not disclose individual amounts. Huang is scheduled to deliver his GTC Berlin keynote on October 21.
