Nvidia highlights Nordic AI expansion and Sweden’s shared supercomputer
Nvidia outlined Nordic computing projects, including a Swedish industrial supercomputer and plans for a Stockholm AI lab in 2027.

Nvidia outlined a growing network of Nordic computing projects in an October 14 update. The company highlighted investments spanning shared AI infrastructure, autonomous freight and quantum research.
In Sweden, Nvidia said the Sferical One supercomputer has launched with 1,152 GPUs across 16 racks of DGX GB300 equipment. Its industrial consortium includes Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments, with SKF participating as a strategic partner.
The projects connect computing investment with industrial applications. Nvidia said Einride is developing its next autonomous truck system using Nvidia technology, while Toyota Material Handling Europe is working with Nvidia and SoftServe on simulation for autonomous equipment.
Nvidia projects that Nordic AI cloud capacity will reach 1 gigawatt by the end of 2027. It also said a Stockholm AI Lab being developed with Norrsken Foundation is scheduled to open in 2027 for founders building AI businesses.
