OpenAI reportedly nears $30 billion raise led by UAE investors and Coatue
OpenAI is reportedly nearing a financing of as much as $30 billion that would value it at $1.25 trillion before the investment.
OpenAI is reportedly approaching a new financing that could bring in $30 billion. Investors from the United Arab Emirates and investment firm Coatue are said to be leading the deal, with a proposed valuation of $1.25 trillion before the additional capital.
The amount being raised reportedly remains unsettled. OpenAI is also said to be discussing a separate commercial arrangement to obtain additional computing capacity in the UAE, alongside the investment negotiations.
The company already has an infrastructure partnership in the country. OpenAI announced Stargate UAE in May 2025, describing an Abu Dhabi computing cluster with a planned capacity of one gigawatt. Its partners included G42, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco and SoftBank, establishing a connection that predates the latest financing talks.
OpenAI reportedly wants investors to sign agreements by the end of next week and is presenting the financing as funding ahead of a potential public listing. The round remains unfinished, so its eventual size and terms are still unconfirmed.
