Germany is reportedly preparing an industrial AI agreement with Nvidia involving hundreds of millions of euros and an announcement in Berlin.

Germany is reportedly preparing a broad partnership with Nvidia to expand artificial intelligence use across its industrial sector. People familiar with the matter say the proposal involves investment totaling hundreds of millions of euros. The reported agreement remains unconfirmed.

The initiative would reportedly support AI for robots and autonomous vehicles, alongside powerful models for industrial applications. It is said to build on Germany’s SOOFI project, which brings researchers and businesses together to develop large AI models.

Nvidia already has an industrial computing partnership with Deutsche Telekom. In its announcement of that project, Nvidia described infrastructure intended to support manufacturing design, simulation and robotics. That existing partnership provides background to the proposed government agreement, but does not confirm its terms.

An announcement is reportedly planned for the Invest in Germany conference in Berlin the following week, with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expected to attend. The German government had not immediately commented when the proposal became public on October 15.
