Nvidia expands open models for European AI development

Nvidia outlined an expanded model portfolio for European organizations building AI around their own data, languages and industries.

Nvidia on October 21 detailed an expansion of its open AI models aimed at European businesses and researchers. The company said organizations can adapt the models using their own data and operate them on computing systems they control.

The lineup includes Nemotron 3.5 models for language and vision, alongside retrieval tools that process and organize documents. Kumo handles structured business information, while other families address robotics, autonomous driving, protein design and quantum computing.

Nvidia said companies including SAP, Dassault Systèmes and Shopify are using Nemotron resources to develop specialized AI systems. The broader effort gives organizations tools for adapting AI to particular industries and languages while retaining control over deployment.

Several models are already available, including Nemotron 3.5 Super VL and Kumo. Nvidia expects Bolt E4B on October 23 and plans to release Alpamayo 2 Edge later this month.
