Nvidia expands Agent Toolkit to connect AI agents with business data

Nvidia added data tools and open models to its Agent Toolkit to help businesses build agents with relevant information and controlled access.

Nvidia announced an expansion of its open-source Agent Toolkit on October 21, adding capabilities for agents that work with company information. The update combines data processing, predictive models and controls over agent behavior.

A new component called Agent Knowledge Foundation brings together CUDA-X libraries, Nemotron Retriever and Kumo models. Its Auto-Ontology library identifies business concepts in raw data and connects them, including relationships among customers, products and orders. Nvidia said companies can use the foundation while retaining existing data locations and governance controls.

The toolkit also includes OpenShell, which restricts what agents can access and do. NemoClaw supplies designs for specialized agents, including a new blueprint intended to improve their performance over time. Together, these components address both access to useful information and oversight of automated actions.

Nvidia said its supply chain organization is already using the foundation with Palantir software. It also described integrations involving Databricks and Snowflake, including access to Kumo capabilities within Snowflake Notebooks.
