Nvidia reportedly puts over $170 billion behind neoclouds
Nvidia’s filings show extensive cloud commitments and guarantees supporting customers’ infrastructure expansion.
Nvidia reportedly has more than $170 billion at stake in neoclouds. Its financial disclosures confirm substantial support for customers’ infrastructure, though they do not establish that exact total as a single category.
As of July 26, Nvidia disclosed $36 billion in AI cloud agreements and $20 billion in future data center leases intended for reassignment to third parties. It separately disclosed maximum guarantee exposure of $108.5 billion, including agreements signed in August. These figures represent commitments and potential obligations, rather than completed spending.
Nvidia said the arrangements help customers obtain facilities, electricity and computing capacity. Under its AI cloud agreements, partners purchase Nvidia equipment while Nvidia commits to services; those commitments shrink as capacity is used. The company can also receive a share of qualifying revenue.
The largest disclosed guarantee covers an Ohio development serving an OpenAI affiliate and is capped at $105 billion. Its first construction phase is expected in Nvidia’s fiscal 2029, with guarantees taking effect as the relevant leases begin. Payments depend on specified tenant defaults, so the eventual financial cost remains contingent.
