Google launches Gemini 4 Argon with API prices set to double after November

Google expanded access to Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, with introductory API prices scheduled to double after November 30.

Google DeepMind

Google expanded availability of Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, bringing the model to developers, businesses and eligible subscribers. Its introductory API pricing has a fixed expiration date, with higher rates scheduled after November 30.

The initial rates are $2 for each million input tokens and $10 for each million output tokens. Google says those prices will rise to $4 and $20, respectively, after the introductory period. Cached input receives a 95% discount relative to the input rate.

The broader release follows a September 30 introduction that initially restricted access to selected cybersecurity defenders. Google describes Argon as suited to extended tasks involving software development, finance, legal work and scientific research.

Developers can access Argon through the paid Gemini API, while Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can use it in the Gemini app and Search’s AI Mode. Ultra subscribers also receive access through Antigravity. The scheduled price change applies to the publicly accessible Argon model.
