Google expands Gemini 4 Argon access to developers, businesses and subscribers
Google opened broader access to Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, with introductory API pricing running through November 30.

Google began expanding access to Gemini 4 Argon on October 13. The model is available to developers and businesses through its API, while Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers receive access in the Gemini app and Search's AI Mode. Google said Argon is designed for demanding work in programming, research and professional services.
The introductory API rates are $2 for each million input tokens and $10 for each million output tokens. Google's developer documentation specifies a shared input and output capacity of roughly one million tokens, with settings that control reasoning effort.
The broader release follows an initial rollout to selected cybersecurity defenders through Google's Fairwind program. Google said that early access allowed defenders and its internal teams to identify software vulnerabilities before the model reached more users.
The introductory pricing ends November 30, after which the input and output rates double to $4 and $20 per million tokens. Google also said more models will follow in the Gemini 4 family, without announcing their release dates.
