Early Anthropic investor reportedly forecasts $2.4 trillion value after IPO

An unnamed early backer reportedly expects Anthropic to reach a market value of up to $2.4 trillion after listing, an investor forecast rather than company guidance.

Anthropic

An early Anthropic investor reportedly expects the company to command a valuation approaching $2.4 trillion after its public debut. The unnamed backer's estimate is a prediction, not a confirmed offering valuation.

The investor reportedly anticipates an offering valuation near $1.8 trillion, followed by trading that values Anthropic between $2.3 trillion and $2.4 trillion. That forecast would put it above SpaceX's reported $2.1 trillion valuation at its first trading day's close.

Anthropic's confirmed private financing provides a separate benchmark. On May 28, the company announced a $65 billion funding round that valued it at $965 billion after the investment. It said the money would support research, computing capacity and products serving Claude customers.

Anthropic announced June 1 that it had confidentially submitted a draft IPO registration document to US securities regulators. At that time, it said pricing and the share count remained undecided, with any offering dependent on regulatory review, market conditions and other factors. That announcement did not establish the valuation now projected by the investor.
