Anthropic reportedly signs multiyear cloud agreement with IREN
Anthropic reportedly reached a multiyear cloud deal with IREN, but neither company has publicly confirmed the relationship or disclosed its terms.
Anthropic has reportedly agreed to buy cloud services from IREN under a contract spanning several years. The reported arrangement remains unconfirmed by either company, and its price and precise duration have not been disclosed.
IREN previously disclosed a multiyear AI cloud contract with an unnamed major AI developer in its fiscal 2026 results. That disclosure did not identify Anthropic, so it does not establish that the reported relationship is the same agreement. IREN supplies computing infrastructure and software for training and running AI models.
Anthropic has separately confirmed substantial spending to expand its computing capacity. In April, it announced an Amazon agreement involving more than $100 billion over a decade and up to five gigawatts of additional capacity. The company said rising demand had strained service reliability.
Public confirmation and contract terms remain outstanding for the reported IREN arrangement. The available account does not establish when services would begin or how much computing capacity Anthropic would receive.
