Anthropic's reported revenue figures show slower growth before planned IPO

Reported quarterly revenue figures show Anthropic expanding rapidly but at a slower percentage rate as it prepares for a potential IPO.

Anthropic

Anthropic's reported financial results show quarterly growth slowing as its revenue base expands. The company is said to have generated $16.8 billion in the third quarter, following $11.6 billion in the second and $4.7 billion in the first.

Those figures imply sequential growth of about 45%, compared with roughly 147% in the preceding period. Revenue therefore continued rising substantially, even as its percentage growth rate declined.

Some prospective investors reportedly see the slowdown as a reason for restraint on valuation. That assessment reflects investor expectations, not a confirmed change to offering terms.

Anthropic's expansion also requires additional computing resources. The company announced in April that new capacity secured through Google and Broadcom was expected to begin operating in 2027. Those infrastructure plans extend beyond its reported preparations for a public listing.
