Claude Docs, Slides and Design leave beta and expand to free accounts
Anthropic has made Claude's document, presentation and design tools available across its plans, with shared editing and mobile support.
Anthropic removed the beta designation from Claude Docs, Slides and Design on October 8 and extended availability to free accounts. The tools support collaboration between teammates and Claude within a shared document, presentation or design.
The update includes mobile editing and exports to PowerPoint and PDF that Anthropic says preserve formatting. Presentations can also transfer to Google Slides for further editing. Organization administrators control available templates and permissions for external sharing.
Anthropic said users had created over 45 million documents, presentations and designs since the tools became available inside conversations. Design has worked within Claude conversations since September 16, bringing access to the surrounding discussion, files and connected services.
Enterprise organizations are scheduled to have the three tools enabled by default on October 15, with administrators able to enable them earlier. Anthropic plans to close its separate Design site on December 14 as it consolidates the product within Claude.
