OpenClaw patch adds model support and fixes missing iMessage replies
OpenClaw v2026.9.9 adds GPT-6.1 Sol and Claude Haiku 5.5 support alongside fixes for updates, messaging and scheduled tasks.
OpenClaw released version 2026.9.9 on October 8, adding model options and addressing several reliability problems. The patch covers interrupted updates, undelivered iMessage responses and scheduled tasks.
GPT-6.1 Sol now appears among OpenClaw's Codex options, although access requires account eligibility and compatible software. Claude Haiku 5.5 is also supported through Anthropic's API and the Claude command-line tool.
The messaging fix addresses cases where OpenClaw generated an iMessage answer without delivering it. A scheduling change prevents an older task from disrupting a more recent conversation. Supported update tools can also recover from an unsuccessful upgrade while retaining data created during that attempt.
The patch is available as an npm package. Its recovery protections do not extend to an older updater that is already running, a limitation that remains relevant when repairing an interrupted installation.
