Anthropic reportedly pitches investors with $16.8 billion in quarterly revenue

Anthropic reportedly presented rising quarterly sales to potential investors as it prepares for a possible public offering.

Anthropic reportedly briefed prospective investors at its San Francisco headquarters on October 14 as it prepares for a possible stock market listing. The Claude developer is said to have presented third-quarter revenue of $16.8 billion, roughly 45% above the previous quarter. A company spokesperson declined to comment on the figures.

The reported figures put second-quarter revenue at $11.6 billion and first-quarter revenue at $4.7 billion. Those results have not been publicly confirmed by Anthropic in the announcements reviewed for this article. The briefing comes amid investor concern about the expense of building the computing infrastructure needed for AI.

Anthropic formally began the regulatory process on June 1, when it announced a confidential draft registration filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said the filing would allow it to pursue a public offering following regulatory review. At that point, it had established neither a share count nor an offering price.

A listing is reportedly expected before the end of 2026, but that timetable remains unconfirmed. Anthropic’s stated position is that an offering depends on market conditions and other factors. The investor briefing does not establish a final offering date or price.,
