Nous Research raises $90 million to expand Hermes into business use
Nous Research confirmed $90 million in funding to develop its open-source Hermes AI agent for businesses, with Nvidia and Microsoft's M12 among investors.
Nous Research has confirmed a $90 million fundraise as it expands its Hermes AI agent toward corporate customers. CEO Dillon Rolnick said the financing will support development and delivery of Hermes for Businesses.
The company named Nvidia, Samsung and Microsoft's M12 among its investors. Other backers include Robot Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Y Combinator and Union Square Ventures.
Founded in 2023, Nous released Hermes Agent under the MIT open-source license in February 2026. The company says users can select its underlying models and decide where it runs. It also says Hermes retains project context between sessions and develops reusable skills while completing tasks.
Rolnick said the business offering will extend that emphasis on control to organizations. Nous plans to let companies choose models based on their needs and costs while supporting private use of their internal knowledge.
