Cognition connects Devin to Pylon and offers $15,000 in new-customer credits

Cognition introduced a Pylon integration that connects support tickets with Devin coding sessions, alongside a $15,000 credit offer for new Devin customers.

Cognition

Cognition introduced Devin in Pylon, connecting its coding agent with the customer support platform. The company also announced $15,000 in credits for new Devin customers. Cognition said the integration is intended to shorten the time between a customer reporting a problem and the underlying software being fixed.

Support staff can start a Devin session from a Pylon issue with the ticket details already included. Devin sends progress back to that issue, and teams can configure sessions to begin when tickets are created, tagged or moved to another status. Staff can also ask questions about their code without initiating changes.

The connection addresses the handoff between support and engineering, where staff otherwise transfer information between tools. Cognition said both teams can work with the same agent through the investigation and code review process. That is the intended workflow, rather than evidence of a measured improvement in repair times.

Setup requires administrator access in both products. The default security profile prevents Devin from pushing code or opening pull requests, so an authorized administrator must adjust permissions for those tasks. Its Pylon tools also cannot draft or send replies to customers.
