Nous Portal adds Krea 3 image editing with Fast and Ultra modes

Nous Research announced that Portal now offers Krea 3, an AI image editor. The release follows Krea’s October 15 launch, which named Nous Research among its distribution partners.

Nous says Fast mode can produce 2K edits in less than eight seconds, while Ultra prioritizes quality. Its announcement describes controls that restrict changes to a boxed area or use a hexadecimal code to specify a color.

Krea positions the model for tasks such as changing product backgrounds and creating advertising variations while preserving the original subject. The company says its Ultra version scores above Nano Banana Pro on several image-editing rankings, although that does not establish better results for every task.

Krea says further development will focus on reducing processing time and making higher-resolution editing more efficient. It also plans to expand how the model interprets instructions placed directly on images.
