Scimplify raises $25 million to expand AI-assisted materials manufacturing
Scimplify has secured $25 million to expand specialty materials production, with US growth a priority and annualized revenue reaching about $200 million.
Scimplify has secured $25 million in financing led by Hitachi Ventures. The Indian materials company plans to expand its US research and manufacturing operations, serving industries including semiconductors, defense and energy.
Henkel and Teknor Apex joined the financing alongside existing investors. Scimplify says its cumulative equity financing now totals $80 million and its annualized revenue pace is approximately $200 million. That revenue measure describes the current pace of business, rather than sales completed over a full year.
The company combines laboratory work, manufacturing partners and an AI system called Scinode to move materials into commercial production. Scimplify says the system matches projects with factory capabilities and monitors production records and regulatory requirements. Engineers and scientists also work at manufacturing sites to oversee the transition from development to production.
The business addresses the difficulty of turning laboratory results into materials that factories can consistently produce at scale. Scimplify lists critical metals and rare earth compounds among its products, alongside materials for electronics and energy applications. It says its manufacturing network includes more than 500 audited facilities.
The next phase includes expanding US capacity for research, processing and production. Teknor Apex is also set to serve as a manufacturing partner in that expansion.
