TypeSafe AI raises $870 million at $7.5 billion valuation after Jev launch

TypeSafe AI confirmed an $870 million funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz as it expands development of its Jev decision model.

TypeSafe AI says it has raised $870 million in Series A funding, valuing the company at $7.5 billion. Andreessen Horowitz led the investment, with Sequoia Capital and existing investor DCVC also participating.

The company said Andreessen Horowitz's Martin Casado is joining its board. The financing follows the launch of Jev, an AI model designed to supply decisions that software can use directly.

Jev produces structured answers with confidence estimates rather than conversational prose. TypeSafe positions it for automation, allowing software to act on higher-confidence results and refer uncertain cases for review. The company advertises speed and cost advantages for these tasks, but those remain its own performance claims.

TypeSafe says it plans to improve Jev, develop additional models for software applications and add enterprise features. It also claims that roughly one-third of Fortune 500 companies are using Jev, without providing a customer list or adoption breakdown in the funding announcement.
