Perplexity adds batch processing to its Agent API
Perplexity's new batch feature lets developers submit large groups of research requests and retrieve the results later.
Perplexity has added a Batch API for running groups of Agent API requests asynchronously. Developers can submit a file of tasks and download the results after processing finishes.
The company's documentation describes a workflow built around JSONL files, which hold individual requests on separate lines. Its company-research example assigns a request to each spreadsheet row and matches returned results using unique identifiers.
The feature supports bulk research workflows that add web information to existing company records. Perplexity has published an example for overnight company-data enrichment, giving developers a starting point for preparing requests and combining the results.
