SpaceX spent $16.4 billion on capital investments in its artificial intelligence division during the third quarter of 2026. That represented about 84% of the company’s $19.6 billion total, putting AI well ahead of rockets and connectivity in investment spending.

The Super Intelligence division generated $7.56 billion in revenue, exceeding half of company sales. It recorded $431 million in operating profit, compared with $2.37 billion for connectivity. SpaceX attributed AI revenue growth to new cloud contracts, its acquisition of Cursor and greater use of Grok.

The figures show how heavily SpaceX’s business now depends on AI alongside its space operations. Quarterly capital spending exceeded the company’s $14.6 billion in revenue, although capital investments and operating expenses receive different accounting treatment. SpaceX said it continued expanding its Colossus II computing infrastructure and signed additional cloud agreements, adding commitments for future capacity.
