Kling 4.0 API begins rollout for developers

Kling AI announced on October 21 that its Kling 4.0 API rollout had begun. The company invited developers to integrate the video model into their applications and workflows. Its API update page describes access as an early release.

Kuaishou, the company behind Kling, says the model can produce a video lasting 30 seconds in a single generation. It supports as many as 15 reference assets and 10 keyframes to guide the result. Reference inputs can combine imagery, video and voices.

The API rollout follows Kling 4.0’s October 15 launch. Kuaishou had already announced integration with its MCP and command-line tools, while describing developer API access as forthcoming. The new rollout extends the model’s distribution to developers building video generation into other software.

Access is still described as early access in Kling’s API announcement. That announcement does not specify when the rollout will reach every developer or provide a timetable for unrestricted availability.
