Black Forest Labs releases FLUX 3 Image Klein with downloadable weights
Black Forest Labs released a 5.6 billion-parameter image model with 4K output, editing tools and support for consumer GPUs.
Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Image Klein on October 15, making its weights available for download and customization. The model creates images from text, edits existing pictures and accepts as many as 10 reference images.
The image generator has 5.6 billion parameters. Black Forest Labs says it supports native 4K output and bounding boxes for guiding placement, while its API includes a restoration process that preserves areas outside an edit. The release includes a base version for customization and a distilled version designed for faster generation.
The company says an INT8 version can run on compatible Nvidia GeForce RTX hardware with 8 GB of graphics memory. Its published tests put generation of a one-megapixel image at roughly four seconds on an RTX 5090 and below nine seconds on an RTX 4070. Those results apply to the specified distilled model and software configuration.
The release follows FLUX 3 Action, the company's downloadable robotics model. Making the image model available for local deployment gives organizations a way to adapt it while keeping processing on their own infrastructure. Black Forest Labs' quality comparisons come from its internal evaluations.
The weights are available under the FLUX Kommunity License, and the distilled model is also offered through the company's API. Black Forest Labs says qualifying individuals and businesses below $5 million in annual revenue can use it commercially for free under the license terms; larger organizations can use its commercial licensing options or API.
