Nvidia details French AI deployments in space, banking and public services
Nvidia outlined projects using its chips and models across France's technology sector, alongside plans for expanded European server production.

Nvidia said on October 12 that French businesses are using its computing systems and AI models across several industries. Its update covered operating deployments alongside projects still under development.
Among them is Altair-1, which Nvidia said reached orbit this month carrying Jetson AGX Orin hardware running Mistral models. Orbitworks built the satellite in Abu Dhabi, and Loft Orbital integrated it. It is the first spacecraft in a planned constellation of 50 satellites costing $1 billion.
On the ground, LINAGORA and Docaposte secured a public procurement agreement covering Twake.ai, a workplace service built with Nvidia's Nemotron models. The agreement references the service for more than 2,500 French public organizations. Nvidia also said SBS is introducing technology that lets banks operate AI services within their own environments.
The projects follow computing investments associated with French summits in 2025 and 2026. Bull plans European production of Vera Rubin Ultra NVL72 systems for 2028, with rack assembly in Angers. Separately, an Nvidia-supported Fondation Inria working group expects to publish findings on open-source modeling and tool adoption in spring 2027.
