Ambi developer reportedly raises $26 million for AI that follows conversations
Mistlabs reportedly raised $26 million as it expands Ambi, an AI assistant designed to retain context and turn conversations into tasks.
Mistlabs, the company behind Ambi, reportedly secured $26 million in early financing for its ambient AI assistant. Luminous Ventures and Huaqin Technology are said to have led the round, with funding also intended for a dedicated wearable.
Ambi says its software retains context from conversations and helps organize information into useful work. Its website describes research and suggested tasks that remain accessible across devices, while its September announcement scheduled a public beta for October 12.
The product aims to reduce the need to repeat background information whenever an assistant receives a new request. Ambi’s privacy policy says audio processing begins when a user permits microphone access and activates a listening or recording feature. It also discloses that outside AI and speech-recognition providers process content needed to deliver those functions.
The reported expansion targets iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch, with dedicated hardware planned afterward. The wearable remains a development project rather than an established shipping product.
