Meta raised credit limits with Stripe after shopping activity through its Muse AI agent exceeded expectations during its first week, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said. He discussed the change during the company's October 21 earnings call but did not disclose the size of the increase.

Zuckerberg said Muse registrations had surpassed 10 million across Canada and the United States, with roughly a quarter of those people using it daily. Shopping ranked as its leading activity, attracting more than a quarter of users and producing purchases averaging above $200.

Meta introduced Muse on September 8 as an assistant that can perform tasks across connected services. Its shopping features include payment through Stripe's Link service, allowing purchases to form part of the work it completes for users.

Meta plans to collect fees from businesses for sales Muse helps generate, Zuckerberg said. He also said the agent's substantial computing requirements would push Meta to pursue revenue earlier than it usually does for new products. The company expects to improve Muse's cost efficiency more than tenfold over the coming year.
