OpenAI brings GPT-6 and interactive answers to ChatGPT's Chat tab
OpenAI is expanding GPT-6 across ChatGPT plans with Intelligent UI, which adds interactive graphics and tools to conversations.
OpenAI announced a broader GPT-6 rollout for ChatGPT on October 7, introducing a feature called Intelligent UI. Answers can combine written explanations with interactive graphics, forms and small tools.
The rollout began with Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts, with Free and Go scheduled to follow on October 8. The first group uses GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna. Enterprise access depends on administrator settings.
The release follows September's introduction of GPT-6 models for paying customers. Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT choose a response format suited to the question, including interactive diagrams or calculators. The update applies to Chat, while the models used by Work and Codex remain unchanged.
OpenAI said its longer-term goal is to generate more interfaces around everyday tasks described in conversation. The announced expansion brings that approach to both paid and free ChatGPT plans.
